Palo Alto firefighters rescue stuck dog

Palo Alto Police rescued a dog from a construction site last week.

Officer say Mele, a mixed poodle and chow chow, was stuck at a construction site on Tennyson Avenue in Palo Alto on Wednesday July 26.

The dog's owner says she heard her dog's cries from next door when she called firefighters.

Firefighters say they secured the dog on a leash to carefully lead it out of the property. 

They say Mele was excited to be ruinted with her owner, Hsinya Shen.

Shen says she thinks her pup escaped by getting under a wooden fence in her backyard.
