Panthers, Broncos arrive in Bay Area ahead of Super Bowl 50

-
The Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos have arrived in the Bay Area as  they continue preparations for Super Bowl 50 in Santa Clara.

The Broncos are in their second Super Bowl in three years, having lost 43-8 to Seattle in 2014 in New Jersey. Their eight Super Bowl appearances tie the Patriots, Cowboys and Steelers for the most ever.

Carolina has been to one Super Bowl, losing to New England in 2004.

The Broncos are staying at the Santa Clara Marriott and will practice at Stanford University, while the Panthers are making their home at the San Jose Marriott and will be practicing at San Jose State University.

However, before they get to practicing both teams will participate in the first ever Super Bowl Opening Night at the SAP center in San Jose.

This event takes the place of the traditional Media Day held on Tuesday morning of Super Bowl week and will be the first time the players and coaches talk to the media while in the Bay Area.

That event starts at 5:00pm and will be broadcast live on the NFL Network.
