Police looking for man who groped 2 joggers in San Mateo County

- The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office is asking people to be on alert after a man groped two women on a jogging trail.

Investigators say a suspect described as a white male adult, 5’8’’ tall, 180 lbs., blue eyes, blond hair with a groomed beard and sideburns approached and groped women from behind as they jogged in the San Bruno Mountain State park.

The first incident occurred on Sunday, October 22, 2017, at about 4:30 p.m. and the second incident occurred on Sunday, November 6, 2017, at about 5:30 p.m.

In both incidents, the suspect approached women from behind, groped their buttocks area and fled.

Investigators believe the suspect is driving a light colored 2009 Mazda 3 hatchback or similar.

The Sheriff’s Office reminds park visitors to be aware of their surroundings and report any suspicious persons or activity.
