Beer fans line up early for rare, popular Santa Rosa brew

SANTA ROSA (KTVU) - Friday is the day many beer lovers have been waiting for.

Pliny the Younger will be released at 11 a.m.

The beer from Russian River Brewing is only produced during a short period of time once a year.

Some people started lining up at this Santa Rosa brew pub late Thursday night, to be among the first to taste this year's batch.

Pliny the Younger is a triple IPA, which is made with a lot of hops, and has a high alcohol content.

You do not have to go to Santa Rosa to find it though.

A limited supply will be shipped to some other bars in the Bay Area over the next two weeks.
