Question of the Day: Do you still leave a tip if you receive bad service?

Question of the Day

A new survey reveals who the best and the worst tippers are in this country.

According to CreditCards.com, the best tippers are men, Republicans, people who live in the Northeast and those who use credit or debit cards. These groups typically leave an average tip of 20 percent.

On the other hand, woman, Democrats, Southerners and people who pay with cash are the worst tippers. They leave a 15 to 16 percent tip on average, according to the survey. Tipping etiquette experts recommend that you leave a 15 to 20 percent tip at restaurants.

But the survey found that about one in five people didn't leave a tip at all.
