The Muni board of directors on Tuesday is set to vote on whether to continue to allow marijuana ads on Muni property.
According to the mayor's office, Muni already has more than 100 ads for marijuana on vehicles and bus shelters.
Mayor Ed Lee is urging the Muni board to bad the ads just like they've done with alcohol and tobacco ads. If the Muni board votes in favor of a ban, the ads already planned and paid for would run through their current campaigns. They would not be allowed to renew.
Alcohol and tobacco ads are currently banned from Muni buses, should marijuana be included in that ban? https://t.co/yCjnE0rBZF— KTVU (@KTVU) November 21, 2017
