Raiders bocce ball tournament raises money for local kids

The Raiders aren’t playing football this week, but they were still competing.  In a manner of speaking.

Tuesday in Fremont, the Jack Del Rio Foundation hosted its first ever bocce ball tournament,.

The proceeds will benefit Hayward High School, Mt. Eden High School, and Tennyson High School athletics, as well as NorCal Special Olympics and the Alameda County Deputy Sheriff’s Athletic League.

The Tournament included 32 teams and culminated with a championship round in the late afternoon.
