Alameda, Calif. (KTVU) -- The Oakland Raiders have submitted their petition to the NFL, and fans could know as early as next week, if the team will leave the East Bay, and move to Southern California for a second time.

The NFL says three teams submitted applications on Monday to relocate.

In addition to the Raiders, the San Diego Cchargers and St. Louis Rams are also seeking permission to move to the Los Angeles area.

The NFL's relocation committee meets in New York this week to evaluate the applications.

A vote could come next week, when team owners meet in Houston, Texas.

Relocation requires approval from 24 of the 32 team owners.
