There are reports that federal immigration agents have used Facebook user data to track down undocumented immigrants.

A report by The Intercept details a case from last year, when ICE agents were searching for a man in New Mexico, they were able to get a log of  when he used Facebook, as well as corresponding IP addresses for each of those log-ins.

But Facebook says, in that particular case, they responded to the ICE request for the information because it was part of an investigation involving a child predator.
