San Mateo County deputies seek men suspected of armed robbery at gas station

(BCN) - Sheriff's deputies are asking for the public's help to locate three people suspected of robbing a gas station in the North Fair Oaks neighborhood in unincorporated San Mateo County Saturday evening.

Around 7:25 p.m. three armed suspects entered the Valero Gas Station at 743 Marsh Road, according to sheriff's officials.

The suspects tried to gain access to the cash register but were unable to do so.

They then demanded that the store's clerk to open the register, which he did, sheriff's officials said.

The suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot into the surrounding neighborhood, deputies tried to locate the suspects nearby, but were unsuccessful, according to sheriff's officials.

All three suspects were described as Hispanic males, between the ages of 17 and 21, between 5 feet 8 inches and 6 feet tall, weighing about 170 pounds, sheriff's officials said.

The first suspect wore a black hooded sweatshirt with black jeans and a black bandana covering his face.
