SAN RAFAEL (BCN) San Rafael police have released a sketch and photo of a male suspected of grabbing a woman who was jogging along a park trail in June.

The 46-year-old woman was on a path behind Pickleweed Park and near the Target store around 10:50 a.m. on June 18, police Lt. Alan Piombo said.

The suspect came up from behind her at least three times and grabbed her body but the woman fought back each time and got away, Piombo said.

Investigators do not know if the suspect specifically followed the woman to contact her again or walked in her direction and happened to see her again, Piombo said.

A witness saw the incident and thought the woman and the suspect knew each other and were playing around, but she later learned from the victim that a sexual battery had occurred, according to Piombo.

When the witness took a picture of the suspect with her cellphone, he turned to hide his face, Piombo said.

The sketch that is based on the victim's memory was finished last week. The suspect is a Hispanic male, 15 to 20 years old, with a medium to heavy build and square face.

His hair was dark and windblown with shaved or very short sides and long at the top. He has dark eyes that are close together and no facial hair, police said.
