OAKLAND, Calif. (KTVU) - An SUV plowed into a church Thursday afternoon in East Oakland, but no one was injured.
Alameda County Sheriff's Department say they were chasing a stolen Dodge Durango around 2 p.m. when it crashed into Pan de Vida Church at 61st and International Boulevard. The church was badly damaged.
A sheriff's spokesman says a 39-year-old suspect fought with deputies after the crash, but was tasered and arrested.
Stolen Vehicle Crash. 2pm. 61st at International. Suspect (39) arrested after he fled from deputies in stolen SUV. Tried to flee on foot after crash and fight deputies.
