DANVILLE (BCN)-- Police are looking for three men who robbed a Costco store in Danville and fired a gun twice before fleeing the scene this afternoon.

At about 12:15 p.m., police received a report that two men dressed in hoodies and wearing masks had entered the Costco store on Fostoria Way near Interstate Highway 680.

One of the men used a hammer to smash a glass case and removed the items inside, according Danville police spokesman Geoff Gillette.

When a store employee tried to stop him, the second suspect fired a gun, Geoff said.

It's unclear if the suspect was shooting directly at the employee.

The two men then fled in a waiting silver Toyota Camry with paper license plates that was being driven by a third suspect, Geoff said.

While the suspects were driving off, they fired a second shot into the air, according to police.

No one was seriously injured in the robbery, but one person was treated for shock at the scene after they fell while trying to get out of the suspects' way, Geoff said.

Police described the two men who entered the store as being 5-feet-9-inches to 6-feet tall and having slender builds. One was wearing a black hoodie, gray pants, gloves and a mask and the other was wearing a black
hoodie, black pants, gloves and a mask.

Last week, the same Costco store was robbed in a similar style.

Three suspects entered the store on May 8, broke a display case with a hammer and took items before fleeing. In that robbery, officers were able to arrest a 21-year-old Oakland man, while the two other suspects were
able to escape.

Anyone with information about today's robbery is asked to call Danville police at (925) 820-2144.
