Stampede breaks out at New York City train station

A stampede broke out at a busy New York City train station, leaving more than a dozen people injured.

The mass panic was sparked by Amtrak police using a taser to subdue a disruptive man yesterday at Penn Station.

People apparently thought the sound of the taser was gunfire.

Many of the people abandoned their suitcases, shoes, and other personal items in the chaos.

Police say the stampede happened right after a train with 1200 passengers made it to the station after being stuck in the Hudson River Tunnel for almost three hours.
