Suspected package thief caught on surveillance video in Sunnyvale taking more than just mail
SUNNYVALE (KTVU) - A Sunnyvale neighborhood is on alert after resident Scott Lewis posted his home surveillance video to the community-oriented website Nextdoor.com.
In the video, a man is seen taking a package from the porch of the Lewis residence around 3:30pm Thursday afternoon.
The suspect was a passenger in the vehicle, police said.
The driver cannot be seen and it is unknown if there were any additional passengers in the vehicle.
Sunnyvale Police Captain Jeffrey Hunter posted to Nextdoor.com with a reminder for anyone expecting a package.
"...be vigilant during this holiday season. Make sure you report suspicious activity you detect in your neighborhood. If you are expecting the delivery of packages try to be home and pick them up promptly off the porch."
