Suspicious package on Caltrain in San Mateo deemed safe

The area around the CalTrain station in downtown San Mateo has re-opened, according to San Mateo police.

Traffic had been blocked on South B Street from Baldwin to Tilton Avenue because of police activity related to a suspicious package on board a train.

The area is now open, police said.

CalTrain is recovering from a 65 minute delay.
