Traffic alert: Car fire on I-880 in Hayward, lanes blocked
HAYWARD, Calif. (KTVU) - California Highway Patrol is reporting a vehicle accident and car fire on northbound I-880, north of A Street in Hayward and that a car is on fire.
The accident was reported at around 5:30 p.m. and a severe traffic alert is in effect with left lanes blocked.
Motorists are advised to expect delays and to use alternate routes to avoid the area. There is no estimated time to reopen the roadway.
