SAN FRANCISCO (KTVU) - Edward Snowden, the whistleblower who alerted the nation to mass surveillance by the NSA, spoke in a live chat Tuesday morning.
He spoke with Twitter's CEO Jack Dorsey.
More than 132,000 viewers watched live on Periscope.
Snowden and Dorsey discussed the "power of the pardon."
Snowden said, "The number of secrets I actually made public is zero. I've never published a single thing online that says, 'this is a classified program, this is how it works.' I provided evidence of these kind of activities - these mass surveillance activities to journalists."
Snowden has been in hiding in Russia.
