OAKLAND, Calif. (BCN) -- Police have identified four homicide victims who were among the five shot and killed in the city over the last week.
A man shot and killed in West Oakland on Sunday night was identified as 22-year-old Tyrell Hayes of San Leandro.
Hayes and a 22-year-old Oakland man were shot in the 2400 block of Chestnut Street in West Oakland at 8:49 p.m., police said.
As police were investigating the crime scene, they found out the two men had arrived at a hospital. Hayes was pronounced dead and the other man is in stable condition, according to police.
A man shot in the 8300 block of International Boulevard at about 9:45 p.m. Friday was identified as 29-year-old Richard Ryan of Union City, police said. Ryan was shot in nearly the same spot that 22-year-old Rey D. Flores was shot and killed a few days earlier, at 12:35 a.m. Tuesday.
Two men fatally shot in the 2300 block of 88th Avenue at 10:06 p.m. Wednesday were identified as Robert Fields, 23, of San Leandro, and Avery Enoch, 27, of Oakland.
Fields was found with a gunshot wound at the shooting scene while Enoch was found a short time later in the 6700 block of MacArthur Boulevard when people who had been taking him to the hospital flagged officers down.
Police have not announced any arrests in the homicides and have released no description of any possible suspects. Anyone with information about the shootings has been asked to contact Oakland police homicide investigators at (510) 238-3821.
