SAN FRANCISCO —

Gray skies and drizzle are in the forecast for the Bay Area Wednesday, but no heavy rainfall is expected, a national weather service forecaster said.

Light rain is hitting the North Bay this morning and is expected to move south to the San Francisco area by this afternoon, forecaster Steve Anderson said.

"The roads will probably be wet for the commute" this evening, he said.

The drizzly weather will continue until Thursday morning, then skies will clear through Friday, Anderson said.

The weekend could see more rain and a slight drop in temperatures, with lows in the 40s in the greater Bay Area and in the 30s in the North Bay and East Bay, he said.
