Tempe, AZ -- (Sports Network) - Arizona Cardinals linebacker Karlos Dansby has signed his one-year "non-exclusive" franchise tender, the team announced Thursday.

Under the terms of his "non-exclusive" franchise tag, Dansby's one-year tender will pay him the average of the five highest paid linebackers in the NFL in 2007.

Dansby, an Auburn product, started 14 games at inside linebacker in 2007, making a career-high 117 tackles and adding 3 1/2 sacks and three interceptions.

The 27-year-old was Arizona's second round selection (33rd overall) in the 2004 NFL Draft, and has appeared in 58 games -- 51 starts -- over four seasons, racking up 382 tackles, 20 1/2 sacks and seven interceptions.
