Denver, CO -- (Sports Network) - T.J. Hensick registered a goal and an assist to lead the Colorado Avalanche to a 3-1 win over the Dallas Stars in preseason action from the Pepsi Center.

Ryan Smyth and David Jones also lit the lamp for the Avalanche, who got a 29- save performance from Peter Budaj.

Steve Ott scored the lone goal for Dallas, while Matt Climie allowed three goals on 28 shots.
