Nan Yang - Rockridge

nan_yangDescription: Nan Yang was the first restaurant in the Bay Area to specialize in Burmese cuisine when it opened in Oakland's Chinatown in 1983. The restaurant moved to Rockridge in 1992, but it remains one of the best spots for Burmese cuisine in the entire Bay Area. Owners Philip and Nancy Chu have researched and brought back recipies from Burma over the years, keeping the menu eclectic. The service and food are outstanding, making Nan Yang a worthwhile destination even if you don't live in the East Bay.
