Description: San Francisco's oldest restaurant and probably its most successful. Whether patrons are lining up for the history, the food or the drinks, Tadich is always busy and supremely competent. You almost feel obliged to get meat and a mixed drink, but they have managed to bend with the times. The seafood is justly famous -- simple and straight-ahead American. If you haven't been at least once, go immediately.
