Giants' Lewis To Have Season-Ending Surgery

(Sports Network) - San Francisco Giants outfielder Fred Lewis will undergo season-ending surgery on Friday to remove a bunion on his right big toe.

Lewis started in left field and collected two hits in Wednesday's 4-3 win over Arizona before the team made the announcement about the procedure.

In 133 games this season, Lewis batted .282 with nine home runs and 40 RBI.
