WATCH: One-on-one interview with Steph Curry

Warriors player Steph Curry and his family teamed up with an international hunger relief group over the weekend to help some East Bay families.

The Curry's joined the Feed the Children organization to provide support to about 400 Oakland families.

People who came to the Beebe Memorial Cathedral on Telegraph Avenue picked up boxes filled with food and personal care items.

Curry said the Warriors as a team make an effort to help out in the community, "I think we made an impact and we want to keep it going," he said.

The event was funded by the Stephen Curry Foundation, and the Warriors Community Foundation.

Steph's daughter Riley Curry was also at the event. She helped hand out gifts to the families in need.

Curry  was at the event the same day he was named the Associated Press Male Athlete of the Year.

He finished first in a vote by U.S. editors and news directors, beating golfer Jordan Spieth and triple-crown winner American Pharoah.
