SUMMARY: Present the news on the internet following the format and instructions of the KTVU News Director and Managing Editor of KTVU.com.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Produce and post daily news, sports and entertainment material from KTVU news reports.

Digitize video from news reports, feeds from reporters in the field and feeds from content partners.

Write and edit text taken from scripts and wires.

Create slideshows from stills captured from video feeds.

Must be available to work nights and weekends.

SKILLS and ABILITIES:

Must be familiar with basic HTML coding and use of a publishing system.

Must have working knowledge of photo shop and the use of video editing software.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and news stories in a concise, balanced manner free of bias, distortion or poor taste.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Must be thoroughly professional in all aspects of journalism. Must be well read on current affairs and have a wide-range working knowledge and understanding of general interest subjects, current events and people in the news.
