KTVU accepts a limited number of videotaped public service announcements (PSAs).
Submissions should contain proper labeling and information about your non-profit organization. A script of the PSA would be helpful.
Only Betacam or Beta sp. cassettes are acceptable. Three-quarter inch cassettes (U-matic) and VHS tapes are not accepted. We accept all lengths, :10, :15, :20, :30 and :60. It may take up to 6 to 8 weeks before your PSA airs.
You can also submit a PSA in writing for the KTVU community calendar. Please email or send your one-sheet with the appropriate who, what, when, where, why and how information, along with a contact name and a daytime number.
Please do not fax last minute announcements and expect them to air. You should send your announcement at least four weeks in advance.

Give the mail a chance to arrive and allowing us a chance to see it before you call. Remember, we receive volumes of mail and it may be difficult for us to remember your specific submission. Always identify what you sent by story or subject matter and not just that you sent us something and did we get it. Is your event appropriate for KTVU? Always do your homework. Get to know the reporters, their style and some of our locally produced shows so that you know to whom you want to speak. Make sure that what you have is something we can use. Ask yourself: does the story fit KTVU, and do you like the way we treat stories similar to yours? Do not send photos, slides or other information that you may want or need back. If we pick up the story, someone will call you for further details and ask for appropriate support materials or visuals.
