ANTIOCH (BCN) -- The Antioch Bridge was closed this morning because of a big-rig crash and there is no estimated time for when it will re-open, the California Highway Patrol said today.

Two semi-trucks crashed on the Sacramento County side of the bridge, said Michael Bradley, a CHP spokesman.

The crash was reported at 10:10 a.m. and a Sig-alert was issued at 10:33 a.m., Bradley said.

One of the drivers was ejected and suffered severe burns and was transported via CHP helicopter to a trauma center with life-threatening injuries, he said.

Both vehicles were moved to the right-hand shoulder around 10:45 a.m., according to Bradley.
