BERKELEY: Police say response to fatal beating not delayed by Occupy protest

The parents of a suspect arrested of allegedly killing a man in the Berkeley hills over the weekend on Monday said their son has been diagnosed as a paranoid schizophrenic and argued the mental health system has failed him.
