Baby deer rescued from 20-foot manhole

Emergency officials seldom have a dull, uneventful day. Officers in Long Island spent several hours rescuing a baby deer than had fallen 20 feet into a manhole. Landscapers working on an empty lot, discovered the scared animal at 3:30 in the afternoon and called police. Emergency service workers arrived on the scene and checked the surroundings to ensure it was safe for officers to descend into the manhole.
