Mystics Make Fever Sick With Fourth-Quarter Comeback

Washington, DC -- (Sports Network) - Taj McWilliams-Franklin posted 20 points, seven rebounds and four steals, as the Washington Mystics used a remarkable fourth quarter to stun the Indiana Fever, 50-48 at Verizon Center.McWilliams-Franklin drained 9-of-16 from the floor and Nakia Sanford came off the bench to grab 11 rebounds for Washington, which snapped a three-game losing streak in memorable fashion. Ebony Hoffman led the Fever with 16 points and nine boards, and Katie Douglas added 11 points in a heartbreaking setback, the first in three games. The Fever defense was outstanding in the opening half, helping the team jump out to a 29-14 lead at the break. Indiana still led by 10 heading into the final stanza, but the Mystics outscored the visitors, 20-8 in the decisive quarter. Tammy Sutton-Brown's attempted tying jumper with four seconds left in the game didn't fall, and the Mystics faithful went home happy.
