Director of Finance
The Director of Finance is responsible for managing the Station’s day-to-day Accounting and Financial Reporting function. This candidate will report to the VP of Finance and manages a staff of two (Senior Accountant & Staff Accountant). The Director of Finance will partner with all Station Department Heads to ensure operational activities are accurately budgeted, forecasted, accounted for, and reported in the Stations financials. This role also serves as a primary liaison with Division Finance leadership, working on Division-specific reporting and other initiatives. As such, the Director of Finance must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational, timeline-management and communication skills with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for managing day-to-day Finance / Accounting activities (including Revenue, Procurement, AP, Capital, General Accounting, and Financial Reporting functions
- Partner with Station departmental leadership to maintain accurate revenue / expense forecasts and resolve operational finance questions / issues timely
- Lead accurate and timely monthly close activities, including Station and Division analytical reviews (e.g., journal entry posting, variance analyses, Cash flow, Divisional reporting packages and balance sheet reconciliations)
- Actively participate in Station financial planning and annual budget preparation
- Partner with departmental leadership to accurately budget, account for and track all Station capital assets
- Serve as primary point of contact for all Station audit requests (both internal / external audit), including annual SOX Self-Assessment process
- Manage execution of annual / ad-hoc data requests from FOX Corp (e.g., tax package for Corp Tax team, insurance renewal for Risk Management team, etc.)
- Assist in identifying and presenting opportunities for cost / process efficiencies to Station leadership; actively assist in implementing changes identified
- Actively manage, develop and motivate team members; hold staff accountable to execution standards & timelines
- Serve as Station’s subject matter expert for recently-implemented back office / financial platforms (Workday, COUPA, etc.); share subject matter expertise with colleagues across the Station
- Play integral role in implementing new FOX systems / processes as needed
- Perform other ad-hoc duties and participate in other special projects as may be deemed necessary
- Provide support and administrative back up to VP Finance
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum BA in Accounting; thorough knowledge and understanding of GAAP
- Seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in similar capacity
- Familiarity with Broadcasting/Cable operations desired
- CPA preferred
- Detail-oriented with proven record of dependability and accuracy
- Ability to take initiative, prioritize and multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Strong critical thinking, resourceful issue resolution, and creative problem-solving skills
- Well organized, proactive and methodical in task execution & troubleshooting

FLX Account Executive
KTVU FOX 2 is seeking a Digital Account Executive who is experienced in business development and has established contacts to make an immediate impact in its rapidly growing digital business. The ideal candidate will be based out of Sacramento, CA. Be part of a winning team with a diverse culture that believes in supporting, mentoring, and training our staff. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Candidate will have responsibility of developing and maintain a robust sales pipeline of qualified clients for the Fox Local Extension (FLX) OTT platform.
- Source new sales opportunities through a combination of identifying and researching potential accounts and soliciting new business via outbound communication as well as inbound lead follow-up.
- Maintain a consistent presence out in the field building relationships and presenting, live or via Zoom, the benefits of the FLX platform.
- Quickly become a product expert in order to participate in brainstorming, staff meetings, client meetings, researching and assisting in proposal development and campaign reporting.
- Collaborate with the Research Director to develop and maintain custom presentations that further highlight the benefits and utility of FLX. • Maintain expert knowledge of competitive OTT platforms and a clear understanding of the characteristics that give FLX a competitive advantage.
- Stewart client campaigns and work on a variety of weekly and monthly reports to develop impactful post campaign recaps and provide recommendations to further optimize client campaigns.
- Work closely with the Digital Sales Manager on every RFP and presentation for consistency in creating impactful campaigns that help our clients achieve the marketing objectives.
- Maintain a positive and effective working relationship with Ad-Ops, creative services, and finance departments. • Other duties assigned as deemed necessary and appropriate.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Experience with daily high volume sales activity in a B2B sales environment.
- A sales hunter mentality with the ability to consult with clients and understand how your products can serve as the solution to help them meet their objectives.
- You have managed a book of business and understand how to organize/plan your day to meet deadlines in a fast pace environment.
- You thrive in a metrics and results driven sales culture and have a track record to prove it.
- You have experience in building rapport, providing technical information and explanations, and preparing presentations.
- Has established OTT/Digital relationships and is able to make an immediate impact on a sales team.
- Digital Video Advertising and/or Digital Agency/Digital Publisher experience preferred.
- Strong written/oral communications, presentation and account management skills are also required.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.

Account Executive

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and grow existing client list by utilizing our market leading FOX stations, digital properties, and industry leading OTT platform to create impactful marketing campaigns for advertising partners.
- Develop a consistent stream of new business and manage the entire sales cycle in order to achieve monthly revenue targets.
- Gain key insight on client goals and objectives in order to make presentation and recommendations to successfully achieve them with all of our offerings.
- Responsible for selling sponsorships that may include promotions initiated by sales persons.
- Ability to create impactful multi-platform advertising campaigns that include KTVU/KTVU+, KTVU’s digital offerings, and OTT.

National Sales Manager
We are searching for a motivated National Sales Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direction of the Vice President of Sales, co-directs the National Sales Department for KTVU and KTVU Plus. This involves:
- Continuous communication with Fox Stations Sales management, account executives, agencies and clients.
- Assisting with sales efforts through pricing, inventory management, providing direction and support to FSS during the negotiation process
- Educate FSS Sales teams and buying community about the SF DMA and KTVU/KTVU+’s position in the market, upcoming station events and initiatives, and the stations robust digital offerings.
- Demonstrating leadership to the department and collaborating with fellow managers to achieve station goals and objectives
- Achieve advertising revenue goals by managing sports, special, Fox owned digital product, and FLX sales
- Lead new business efforts to unlock new dollars for the stations.
- Manage inventory and rates to maximize station revenue.
- Clearly define FSS performance expectations.
- Collaborate with co-NSM to ensure National reports and trackers are consistently updated and utilized to build the national strategy.
- Involves travel to FSS markets, going out on calls, and entertaining key clients.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university
- A minimum of five years related experience in National Sales or sales representative position is required.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in partnership with FSS management in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
- Must be very knowledgeable in the basic and advanced techniques of selling television and in sales negotiation.
- Must have strong time management and organizational skills, and demand high standards of self and others.
- Deadlines must be established, and achieved.
- Must have strong ability to proactively build relationships with clients at all levels.
- Experience with Wide Orbit Traffic system a definite plus.
- High proficiency in the digital and OTT space desired.

Broadcast Engineer
We are looking for a Broadcast Engineer that has an interest in transmitters, microwave, and remote sites.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, troubleshoot, configure and maintain a wide variety of television broadcast equipment including HDSDI television switching and routing equipment, audio mixing equipment, broadcast studio and ENG camera systems, robotic camera systems, encoding equipment, satellite and microwave data and distribution systems, production and master control automation equipment, wireless microphone and IFB equipment, intercom matrix equipment.
- Install and configure various IT equipment including desktop PCs, laptops, network switching infrastructure, and KVM systems.
- Train end users on new systems and workflows; develop documentation, user guides, and drawings as required.
- Update broadcast systems as required to maintain high InfoSec security standards.
- Patch and update broadcast operating systems and applications as required for life cycle maintenance and security best practice
- Work with outside vendors who will service the generator, UPS, HVAC and transmitter tower.
- Assist with maintenance of the transmitter and transmitter site.
- Assist with cable management where required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- IT knowledge, including working knowledge of networking, PC/server hardware, SSH/Telnet access via Putty.
- Windows OS knowledge (Windows 10, Windows Server).
- The ability to learn new systems quickly and embrace new technology. • Ability to interface remotely with internal Fox personnel or outside vendor support to resolve technical issues quickly. • The ability to successfully interface with engineering team members and other station staff. • Basic RF knowledge. • Basic electrical knowledge. • The ability to work outdoors, lift heavy objects, climb ladders and bend over/kneel to perform various equipment and cable installation tasks. • Valid Driver’s license is required.
HELPFUL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE (But not required)
- SDI and 2110 knowledge and experience.
- MPEG Encoding/streaming experience (MPEG 2, 4, HEVC, etc.) and ASI/TSoIP installation and troubleshooting.
- Experience with studio/ENG cameras, robotic camera systems.
- Audio/mixing system experience including networking, mixing, and distribution.
- Mac and/or Linux knowledge.
- Data/Video/Audio fiber distribution and troubleshooting.
- VMWare and Cisco switch knowledge.
- Soldering and cable assembly skills (coax, XLR, ethernet).
- SBE Certification.
- IT or electronics certificate and/or AS degree.

Maintenance Engineer (per diem)
KTVU is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to conduct repairs and preventative maintenance of broadcast equipment--both IT/server-based and video-based.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works under the direction of Engineering management to research, obtain, and implement equipment, test devices, and perform maintenance/operating procedures.
- Repairs and maintains broadcast systems, including systems that are computer-based.
- Shares information and knowledge of this specialty area with other staff members, by adhering to the documentation requirements at KTVU, which include creating rack elevation views, block diagrams and detailed schematic and by training co-workers on new systems that you design and/or install.
- Other duties assigned as deemed appropriate and necessary.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and at least four years related experience in TV station maintenance, including digital; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Particular emphasis will be placed on experience with software applications, operating systems and general-purpose troubleshooting in a network environment.
- Experience with layers 1, 2 and 3 network switches is considered a plus. SBE certifications desirable.
- Membership in IBEW union required. A+ and other computer based certifications are highly desirable.
- Must have the ability to work with end-users of software-based systems in order to solve issues in large network-based systems is an important skill that is required.
- The ability to understand network-based communications links between corporate locations in other cities and the systems at KTVU will be required.

News Film/Tape Editor
As a News Editor, you will play a crucial role in shaping and delivering engaging and high-quality news content to our viewers, with a specific focus on sports coverage.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties include editing sports-related news content, including highlights, interviews, feature stories, and analysis, ensuring accurate and impactful storytelling. Must pay close attention to details, pacing, and timing to create compelling sports segments for broadcast. The ideal candidate will collaborate with the sports production team to conceptualize and develop sports-related news stories, segments, and shows. Prior experience working in a local news and sport related field is required. Strong knowledge of Bay Area sports teams and groups is a plus. Must be able to work as a team with sports department, digital, news, and promotion.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma is required; 4-year College degree is preferred. Candidate should have 3 to 5 years’ experience with fast-paced television productions. Strong writing skills required. Ignite experience or other newscast automation is a plus.

News Producer
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Producer is required to select content, write and copy edit stories, assemble stories into a rundown, book guests, and create graphics and visuals to complement the presentation of material for the on-air broadcast and digital platforms. The producer must be able to write news copy clearly, in broadcast style, for on-air, online, and other digital platforms. Must be able to assemble news material in a logical and organized fashion and present finished stories in a professional and engaging manner for viewers/readers to be able to comprehend the latest local, national and international news. Strong writing and producing skills are essential. Ability to contribute ideas on a daily basis and to recognize what types of stories would make for interesting and compelling television and online content. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced quickly changing environment and react in live situations to cover breaking news, etc. Ability to establish and maintain harmonious relationships with peers and supervisors and to develop contacts outside the building to aid in newsgathering. The producer must be enterprising and self-motivated and be able to work independently to develop newscast or assigned production. Requires a thorough understanding of all journalistic standards and broadcast production techniques used to create visual and compelling on-air and online content. News Writer
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Seeking a writer to support our afternoon and evening newscasts. This is an excellent position for someone looking to gain writing and producing experience in a top-rated newsroom. Writer must have strong journalism skills, understand writing for television newscasts, work under tight deadlines, build graphics and collaborate with producers and assignment desk. Writer will be trained to produce newscasts and will fill in on occasion. Only candidates interested in producing will be considered. Other duties assigned as deemed appropriate and necessary.

KTVU Channel 2 and KTVU Plus offer an unpaid college internship program three times a year: Spring, Summer and Fall.
Students are provided a chance to experience the working environment of television broadcasting including news/sports, digital/social media news production and promotion, and community affairs.Internship Requirements:College students must meet these requirements to qualify for a KTVU/KTVU Plus internship:
- Be currently enrolled in an accredited four year college.
- Be a junior, senior or graduate student in a graduate program.
- Provide a letter on school letterhead, prior to the start of the internship, from an advisor or professor stating that the student is enrolled in school during the current semester/quarter and will be receiving course credit.
