Caltrain derails in San Jose, passengers deboard
SAN JOSE, Calif. (KTVU) - A Caltrain derailed in San Jose on Monday and passengers were told to deboard, a spokesman said.
Train 324 experienced a derailment of one truck of wheels on the last car of the six car train at 9:05 a.m. as it approached the San Jose Diridon station. The train was operated into the station and all passengers got off the train safely.
There are no reported injuries, but there are delays. As of 12:00 p.m. trains are delayed by up to about one hour. As track repairs continue, riders should expect some delays of between 10-15 minutes during the evening commute on Monday.
Crews are investigating the section of track where the incident occurred and are working to make repairs. The train was re-railed by 11:15 a.m.
