Man climbs up San Francisco building, refuses to come down

Area of Market and Gough streets blocked off as police and crisis negotiators work to get a man who climbed up a building to come down.

A man who climbed up a building in San Francisco Wednesday afternoon is refusing to come down, authorities said. 

Police asked for people to avoid the area of Market and Gough streets as they try to negotiate a resolution with the man.

Officers said the man is climbing up and down the building and is not complying with their orders for him to come down.

A crisis negotiator is also at the scene.
