Despite strong opposition, Fremont to hold meeting about multi-million dollar navigation center

The Fremont City Council is holding a meeting Tuesday about its proposed temporary housing navigation center to address the local and regional housing crisis. The City Council is being asked whether to move forward with one of two possible sites -- one in the parking lot of City Hall on Capitol Avenue, and the other surplus property in the 4200 block of Decoto Road next to Regan Nursery.

Tesla begins selling car insurance to Tesla vehicle owners

Tesla owners can now buy insurance policies from the electric car company in what may be an essential step toward it selling driverless vehicles. The company said Wednesday it's now selling policies in California and will go nationwide at an undisclosed date.

Fremont considers homeless navigation center location proposals

A community meeting over a new homeless center in Fremont drew a large crowd Wednesday night as the city struggles to convince the naysayers. Fremont standoff leads to arrests

Guests at a Fremont motel got more than they bargained for when they found themselves caught up in the middle of a SWAT situation on Friday. Two people were barricaded inside a room at the Mission Peak Lodge after police say they spotted a stolen car. KTVU's Rob Malcolm reports.
