Thurmond, Reich lend voices to strike

Political powerhouses state Supt. Tony Thurmond and former U.S. Labor Secretary Robert Reich lent their voices during Oakland teachers strike Monday, the third day the majority of the district's 37,000 students have not had "school as usual."
