Streaming Producer
KTVU FOX 2 San Francisco is seeking a Streaming Producer with strong technical instincts and a deep understanding of digital-first news production. This role is centered on live streaming, social video, and platform-native storytelling. You will be responsible for producing, managing, and optimizing live and on-demand content across FOX LOCAL connected TV and mobile apps, as well as all major social platforms, ensuring coverage is fast, accurate, visually compelling, and technically sound.
Reporting to newsroom leadership, the ideal candidate is fluent in the mechanics of streaming production and social/digital distribution, CTV, and understands how audiences consume news outside of linear TV with a balance of speed, quality, and journalistic integrity. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a live environment and wants to build the future of local news.

Responsibilities
- Produce and manage live-streaming coverage of breaking news, live events, press conferences, and original programming for FOX LOCAL apps and social platforms.
- Operate and oversee streaming production tools, including live switching, encoding, clipping, publishing, and real-time troubleshooting.
- Create platform-native digital and social video content, including live clips, short-form video, graphics, and text-based storytelling optimized for mobile & CTV consumption.
- Distribute and optimize content across the FOX LOCAL apps, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, and emerging platforms with an emphasis on growth and audience engagement.
- Collaborate with newsroom, digital, social, and production teams to align coverage, workflows, and priorities across platforms.
- Monitor real-time analytics, audience behavior, and trending topics to inform editorial and production decisions before, during, and after live streams.
- Ensure all content meets journalistic standards, legal requirements, and FOX group guidelines for quality, accuracy, and consistency.
- Participate in ongoing testing and refinement of streaming formats, tools, and workflows.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Journalism, Communications, Media Production, TV/Film production, or a related field with a digital focus.
- 3 or more years of experience producing digital video, live streams, or social-first news content; newsroom experience strongly preferred.
- Strong technical proficiency with live-streaming workflows, including video switching, live publishing, clipping, and distribution.
- Hands-on experience with video editing tools and production software; Adobe Creative Suite experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated understanding of social media platforms, video formats, and audience behavior across digital ecosystems.
- Experience using analytics tools to measure performance and adjust content strategy in real time.
- Excellent editorial judgment, writing skills, and attention to detail in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and non-traditional hours as news demands.

Job Summary:
- Candidate will have the responsibility of developing and maintaining a robust sales pipeline of qualified clients for the Fox Local Extension (FLX) OTT, Fox Local News (FLN), and KTVU’s mobile/pc/tablet platforms.
- Quickly become a product expert to participate in brainstorming, staff meetings, client meetings, researching and assisting in proposal development and campaign reporting.
- Collaborate with the FLX internal and external teams to develop and maintain custom presentations that further highlight the benefits and utility of our solutions.
- Maintain expert knowledge of competitive OTT platforms and a clear understanding of the characteristics that give FLX a competitive advantage.
- Manage client advertising initiatives and work on a variety of weekly/monthly reports to develop impactful post campaign recaps and provide recommendations to further optimize client campaign performance.
- Work closely with sales management and sales support teams on RFP’s and presentation for consistency in creating impactful campaigns that help our clients achieve the marketing objectives.
- Maintain a positive and effective working relationship with FLX Client Services, Ad-Ops, Insights, creative services, and finance teams.

Per Diem Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operating in Master Control, the Technical Operations Center, and Ingest.
- Master Control automation experience a must with an emphasis on switching live sports.
- Ensuring compliance with FCC regulations related to closed captioning, EAS, transmitters, text-to-speech, and the CALM Act.
- Live news experience is also a must to include tuning in live shots via microwave, satellite, and bonded cellular.
- Other duties include commercial and program ingest and segmentation as well as quality control of on-air signal.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts that may include nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
- Other duties as deemed appropriate and necessary.
Minimum Requirements:
- The ability to work under tight timelines and high stress while maintaining an exceptional on-air product.
- Basic technical troubleshooting skills and the ability to properly communicate issues to the Maintenance Engineers and supervisors.
- Computer hardware, software, and networking experience and the ability to quickly learn new applications and workflows.
- Must work well with others in and out of the Engineering department and be able to communicate clearly in writing as well as in person.

Responsibilities
- Enter advertising orders and revisions in the WideOrbit Traffic system
- Confirm sales orders in WideOrbit Connect
- Communicate with national sales representatives regarding preempted commercials and make-good offers, and follow up on unresolved issues through completion
- Provide weekly exact commercial advertising times to sales representatives or advertisers

News Photographer
KTVU is seeking a News ENG Photographer to work with a team of journalists covering stories in the Bay Area.
Photographer will work with reporters to craft daily stories, execute live shots, provide pictures and video to digital teams and provide information to the assignment desk and producers.
The ideal candidate will have a curiosity for their community and the world around them; be creative in developing unique and engaging content for our broadcast, streaming and digital platforms; and be competitive in creating the best coverage and challenging themselves to be different to continually elevate KTVU’s product.
Responsibilities:
- Capture high-quality video footage for daily newscasts, special projects, and breaking news coverage.
- Work closely with reporters and producers to visually enhance storytelling with compelling visuals and sound.
- Edit video content for daily newscasts using non-linear editing systems such as Edius or similar software.
- Collaborate with reporters and producers to assemble cohesive news stories that meet station standards and deadlines.
- Ensure edited content is accurate, engaging, and adheres to newsroom style and brand guidelines.
- Manage and organize raw video files, archive footage, and edited content for future use.
- Set up and operate live transmission equipment, including microwave, satellite, or cellular bonded systems (e.g., LiveU, TVU, etc).
- Troubleshoot technical issues in the field and maintain communication with the control room during live broadcasts.
- Respond quickly to breaking news events and demonstrate flexibility in scheduling to meet newsroom needs.

- Guest Booking: Proactively pitch, research, and book compelling newsmakers, expert guests, and witnesses for live interviews relevant to news of the day.
- Visual Storytelling: Identify and leverage dynamic editorial elements—including live pictures, helicopter, social feeds, and affiliate sources—to elevate live segments.
Technical Ingest & Air Integration
- Breaking News Push: Make split-second decisions to push breaking news and high-interest live events directly to streaming teams under tight deadlines.
- Data Optimization: Leverage data and analytics to prioritize high-interest events and topics across CTV, YouTube, and digital platforms throughout various news cycles.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in a fast-paced television newsroom, digital news platform, or assignment desk environment.
- Deep familiarity with the geography, political climates, and diverse communities of the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Proficient grasp of newsroom computer systems (e.g., iNews), streaming video workflows, and field tech (LiveU/TVU, digital capture).
- Strong journalistic ethics and the ability to make instant, accurate decisions on which "live" event takes priority for our audience.
- The ability to multitask—switching from traditional desk dispatching to guest booking and technical video ingest—without sacrificing accuracy or composure.
