Bay Bridge bike path to be open seven days a week

Cyclists will soon be able to ride on the Bay Bridge bike path any day they want.

Starting Tuesday, the bike lanes will be open seven days a week.

It had been closed Monday through Friday while crews dismantled the rest of the old Bay Bridge.

A transportation spokesman says a new vista point at the end of the path at Yerba Buena Island will also be open.

There, cyclists will have access to benches, water fountain, and restrooms.
