SANTA ROSA, Calif. (KTVU) - Several people were seriously injured after a crash involving a dump truck and 10 vehicles in Santa Rosa on Monday morning.
The crash occurred near Highway 101 and Old Redwood Highway. Santa Rosa Police tell KTVU two people had serious injuries, one had moderate injuries, and three suffered minor injuries. At this point no fatalities have been reported.
A total of six vehicles burned in the crash and four additional vehicles were damaged in the crash.
A witness at the scene named Larry told KTVU he was on his way to work when saw a dump truck involved in the crash. "Cars are burning with people in them, help I need help, I'm crying," he said. He began pulling people out of cars with other witnesses at the scene.
Larry estimated the truck's speed at 65 to 75 miles per hour.
Dark smoke near the crash site was billowing into the air.

There are road closures in the area including Medocino Avenue northbound at Bicentennial Way. Southbound Old Redwood Highway is closed at the Mendocino off-ramp, and Mendocino Ave over-crossing at Ave. Westbound Fountaingrove Pkwy is closed at Round Barn.
