Driver kills bicyclist in 'unfortunate accident,' Fremont police say

FREMONT, Calif. (KTVU) - The driver of a car fatally struck a male bicyclist in Fremont Wednesday morning in what police are calling an "unfortunate accident."

Police said the death occurred about 5:15 a.m. on northbound Boyce Road near Stewart Avenue. 

Police said drugs and alcohol are not suspected.

Boyce is expected to be shut down until about 11 a.m.
