Trio arrested for Pittsburg pot grow house murder

PITTSBURG, Calif. (KTVU and wires) -- Three suspects in a murder at a Pittsburg marijuana grow house last month were arrested in the past two days, Pittsburg police said Friday.

Between Wednesday night and Thursday afternoon, police arrested 45-year-old Robert Anthony McClary, 29-year-old Tiffany Shalia Brown and 29-year-old Montino Keith Lewis, in connection with the shooting death of Jerron Griffin on Aug. 18, police said.

Griffin, a 30-year-old Pittsburg resident, was found dead with gunshot wounds inside a warehouse in the 500 block of Garcia Avenue. The warehouse had marijuana plants inside and appeared to be used as a grow operation.

Police arrested McClary at his home in the 9200 block of Castlewood Street in Oakland on Wednesday night.

Brown was taken into custody at her workplace in the 1000 block of Concord Avenue in Concord on Thursday afternoon, while Lewis turned himself in at the Pittsburg Police Department on Thursday afternoon.

All three were booked on suspicion of murder and related crimes and are being held at the Martinez Detention Facility without bail.

Police initially said Griffin was shot after an argument at the warehouse.
