'Flintstone House' in Hillsborough gets makeover, keeps prehistoric charm

HILLSBOROUGH, Calif. - The famous "Flintstone House" in Hillsborough has a new look, but it isn't losing its prehistoric charm.

One of the most noticeable changes is a group of 15-foot-tall metal dinosaurs  that now sit on the hillside surrounding the unique home. Retired media mogul Florence Fang has made some improvements -- both inside and outside -- since buying the house last year, for $2.8 million.

The 83-year-old told the Mercury News she loves her quirky, new home -- and is happy with the updates.
