Three suspects are in custody and possibly three more are at large after a high-speed chase and an armed carjacking Wednesday morning that ended in a dramatic crash at a Millbrae country club, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A CHP officer first spotted a Honda sedan that had been carjacked on Interstate Highway 380 in San Bruno. The car wouldn’t stop and the driver got off on US Highway 101 at Millbrae Avenue, according to Officer Brandi Stephens. The chase continued, sometimes at speed of up to 100 mph, the CHP said, but ultimately stopped when the car crashed into the gates of the Green Hill Country Club in Millbrae.

The suspects have not been identified, but they appeared to be young men, according to video taken at the scene. San Mateo County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for up to three more people they say are involved.
