Man dies after being stabbed in East Bay Safeway

SAN LEANDRO, Calif. - A man was stabbed at a Safeway in San Leandro Tuesday evening, authorities said.

The unidentified man was found suffering from stab wounds inside the store located at 555 Bancroft Ave. Despite being medically transported, he later died from his injuries that evening.

Police said the incident is being investigated as a homicide.
