New TSA screenings for all U.S- bound passengers could cause new delays

- All airline passengers on international flights heading to the United States could be dealing with new delays at the airport.

Everyone on flights to the U.S., including Americans, will face new security measures now required by the TSA and which begin Thursday.

Airlines have been ordered to conduct security interviews, but airlines can handle the new screening requirements in different ways.

Some plan to conduct in-person interviews as passengers are checking in. Others will question travelers at the gate before they are allowed to board. And others plan to have all passengers fill out written questionnaires.

The TSA will also conduct more thorough inspections of electronic devices that will be taken on a flight.

That agency says the new rules will affect about 2,100 flights a day.
