One dead, five injured after a tree fell on a wedding party

WHITTIER, Calif. (KTVU) - One woman is dead and five others are hurt after a large tree fell on a wedding party in Southern California.

The group was taking wedding photos in a park in Whittier when the 100-foot tall eucalyptus tree fell on them.

Emergency workers needed chainsaws to remove the tree that was holding down several people.

A four-year-old girl is the most seriously injured of the survivors.

Officials are not saying how any of the victims are related to the groom or bride.
