Warriors forward Draymond Green was named to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team, the league announced Wednesday.

The announcement marks the fourth time Green has earned All-Defensive honors, but it’s the first time he’s been selected to the Second Team. This year’s inclusion is a bit of a drop off compared to the Defensive Player of the Year nod he received last season, but given he had a career-worst 105.0 defensive rating per 100 possessions and missed a career most 12 games, it’s hard to be upset with his placement.

Because while you can make a strong argument Green is First Team caliber defender, he’s still recognized as one the 10 best defenders in the league. Rudy Gobert, who had the highest point total (192) and received the most First Team votes (94), had a 99 defensive rating per 100 possessions – same as Green last season.

Warriors forward Kevin Durant and guard Klay Thompson did not make the list. Durant had 31 total points with seven First Team votes and Thompson had 24 total points with eight First Team votes.

Take a look at the point totals for both teams below.
