Joe Fonzi

Sports Anchor/Reporter

Joe has been at KTVU since August 1995.  He has covered four Giants World Series, two 49er Super Bowls, six Warriors title runs (four of them championships), and the 2007 All-Star Game in San Francisco.

Joe previously worked at KPIX, KSBW-TV in Salinas, KXTV in Sacramento, and KHSL-TV in Chico. He also co-hosted "49ers Total Access" (2005-2013) and provided play-by-play coverage of Cal Football games from 1992 to 1997.

Joe grew up in Linden, CA and went to elementary and high school there.  He earned a BA from California State University, Chico, in Communication Studies.

Having grown up in Northern California, the Bay Area was always the region that was the most appealing because of its amazing geography, culture, and diversity.

When he’s not working, Joe loves keeping track of his kids, teaching one day a week at Academy of Arts University, working on his house, and looking for sports memorabilia and other antiquities.
