Free fruits and veggies through revived CalFresh program

A state assemblymember secured $20 million to revive a CalFresh program that helps residents with extra money for fresh fruits and vegetables. For every $1 of CalFresh benefits spent on fresh fruits and vegetables at a participating retailer, CalFresh recipients get $1 back on their EBT card to spend on eligible food, up to $60 per month.
